As you might have noticed if you’re following my facebook page, I’ve been actively editing the paperback version of Seeker and am close to completion. I’m on target for a September 9 release date (at least for the paperback), with the eBook launch happening either on that date or soon to follow. I can’t wait!
To get there, I need to finish incorporating my hand edits (I am trying to average 2-3 chapters a day) and then go through Kirsten’s edits. This amounts to copyediting at this point, as the book has already been through two drafts as well as a Grammerly edit (an invaluable tool that I recently discovered). I’ll probably write an entire blog post on what Grammerly is good for (and what it’s not) at some point. Suffice it to say, it caught about 90 percent of the stupid stuff that really slowed my beta readers down for my previous books.
Overall, finishing Seeker has certainly taken a lot longer than I’d planned, but Seeker is twice the length of Sagitta or Hrain, I think I’m okay with that. You can see the size comparison of the paperbacks here…note how worn out my draft copy of Seeker is!

Here they are stacked on top of each other. Seeker is 587 pages and counting at this point!

Alright, off to edit some more (and then bed).
